Biodegradable gowns for the food sector
The advantage of using our product, above all in the food sector, is that you can dispose of them together with organic waste rather than separately, cutting management costs appreciably.
What is a compostable product?
To fit the definition of biodegradable, material must decompose in a few weeks and fully naturally disintegrate within three months. In the food sector, these products are considered the only truly environmentally sustainable ones, as they do not create any waste or release any harmful substances into the environment. Therefore they can be left to disintegrate completely.
What is a biodegradable product?
Biodegradable products are ones that can be broken down in a natural way after use, without recourse to chemical processes. To obtain a biodegradable certification, the material must be decomposable up to 90% within six months, double the period for products labelled compostable.
So, anything identified as biodegradable can be reduced to basic chemical compounds, namely the elements water, methane and carbon dioxide. The breakdown must take place through a natural process, which for example can be induced by the action of sunlight, by certain bacteria, or by the work of natural physical agents.
